The amount is included in the State Budget for 2023, approved on Friday, which provides that the company that manages airports in Portugal will pay eight million euros in 2024, referring to the previous year, a value that increases annually to 146 million euros in 2063. In the concession contract signed in 2012, it was defined that from the 11th year of privatisation onwards, ANA will have to share part of its revenue with the State.
Between 2013 and 2021, the ANA group generated a turnover of 4.94 billion euros and a profit of 1.11 million euros. Last year, the company managed by CEO Thierry Ligonnière and chairman José Luís Arnaut returned to positive results (25.3 million) after a loss of 72.1 million the previous year due to the pandemic.
