The Swedish owner of an island located between Montreal and Laval has donated his family island to Nature Conservancy of Canada to prevent it from falling into the hands of developers.

Speaking to the Washington Post, 93 year old Thor Vikström said: “I don’t want money. I want the island to be an island. No amount of money can ever buy it.”
