According to the National Institute of Statistics (INE), in February "all regions showed positive year-on-year changes in housing rents, with the Autonomous Region of Madeira registering the most intense increase (4.4%)".
As for the average value of housing rents per square metre, it registered a monthly variation of 0.5%, below the 0.6% of the previous month.
The regions with the highest positive monthly change were the North and Lisbon (0.5%), with no region showing a negative change in the respective average value of housing rents.
