Keane, a native of Cork, has made frequent trips home over the years and has been known to volunteer and donate to regional organisations.
Enid Conway, marketing, and fundraising manager at Marymount Hospice, remarked that Roy Keane's extraordinary generosity meant a great deal to everyone in this place. “Marymount provides specialised treatment to a sizable population. It is encouraging to see that anyone wanting to support what we do has acknowledged this.”
“For families in Cork and beyond, Marymount is a special and crucial force of caring. We appreciate Roy's kindness and the advantages it will bring to the people we care for and their families. It's a fantastic gesture of compassion, in all honesty.”
Palliative, respite, and grief assistance are all offered at Marymount Hospice.
Raffle tickets may be purchased for €10 at the Marymount Hospice reception, Cogans Toyota Carrigaline, or online.
