One of the great entertainers of the last edition, in which they won two stages, the North American team remains in the 'Algarvia' squad, to which they returned in 2023 after having been absent for five years.
EF Education-EasyPost's ninth participation in the only Portuguese stage race on the UCI ProSeries circuit could also mean the presence of Portugal's Rui Costa, who will represent the North American team next season after returning to the highest level this year in the colours of Intermarché-Circus-Wanty.
EF Education-EasyPost is the seventh WorldTour team, the top division of world cycling, to be confirmed for the 50th Volta ao Algarve, after Germany's BORA-hansgrohe, the Netherlands' dsm-firmenich, France's Groupama-FDJ and Arkéa-B&B Hotels, Kazakhstan's Astana, and Belgium's Alpecin-Deceuninck.
The organisers of the 'Algarvia', which takes place between 14 and 18 February, have also announced the presence of Uno-X, the first ProTeam to be secured.
The Nordic team will be in the Algarve for the third time, after an outstanding performance in the last edition, in which they took the inaugural yellow jersey thanks to Alexander Kristoff's victory in Lagos.
Interestingly, the winner of the next two stages and winner of the green jersey, Magnus Cort Nielsen - at the time representing EF Education-EasyPost - will also be part of the Uno-X squad in 2024.
