The chicken fillet roll was found to be substantially more popular than other sandwich mainstays including chicken and stuffing (14%), BLT (14%), and chicken caesar (13%), according to recent research commissioned by retailer Circle K.

According to 3Gem's poll of 1,000 people, which was done last month, a startling 92% of the population purchases meals while on the road at least once a month and 28% enjoy doing so multiple times a week.

When selecting takeaway, people's top considerations are convenience (39%), value (33%), and quality (24%), with almost half (44%) spending between €5 and €9.

The popularity of the chicken fillet roll has nearly doubled in the last few years. In 2020, prior studies found that 22% of respondents would choose the chicken fillet roll as their preferred deli dish.
